She was nominated for a BAFTA TV Award for Best Light Entertainment Performance in 1992 for her work in the comedy series Drop the Dead Donkey (1990-1991), and she won a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Featured Actress in a Musical in 2009 for her Broadway performance in Billy Elliot.
